We Had Ourselves A Night Of Mayhem In College Basketball - Top Two Teams Lose, Max Abmas Buzzer Beater, Auburn Fan Lost His Goddamn Mind
Well that didn't take long for college basketball to save us. Less than 24 hours after Michigan raised the trophy and everyone was screaming about a video game, we had number 1 and number 2 lose to unranked teams. Beautiful. Not only that, but Houston was the last undefeated team and now that's gone. It's complete mayhem yet again this year, something we're starting to getting used to.
Everyone who has been focused on college football has been introduced to a star. Well, as long as you head Peacock because the Big 10 keeps putting their best games there for whatever reason. Nothing like forgetting 5 minutes into a game that it's on and scrambling to find it. I miss when ESPN was just channel 32 and you knew what was on and when. Anywho, back to the star.

The dude will put from anywhere and when he gets going is as exciting as anyone else in the game. Nebraska is actually decent this year. I saw people freaking out about how good they are, they are looking at making the NCAA Tournament. Wins over Nebraska and Michigan State.
Before that though you had Iowa State's freshman Milan Momcilovic turn into Dirk to help seal the game.
The stones and talent to hit that shot. Whoo buddy. That's impressive, especially considering how physical Houston wants to be defensively. Easy to get pushed off that spot. What's shocking is there was no court rush. I'm stunned but maybe they are all just remembering Hilton Magic. I said it's bucket list type spot and I will always say that. Hilton Magic is real.
Speaking of stars, while Milan went Dirk, we had Max Abmas being Max Abmas
I typically hate when teams don't wear white at home, but the red Cincinnati jerseys deserve a pass. Texas needed this win too. They really haven't done much and UC is fine. Gotta win on the road and Max Abmas saved them. Good. We need Max Abmas in the NCAA Tournament again. Dude can go get 50 if he really wants to.
So what's going on? It's simple to me, you have guys coming back to college and staying longer now thanks to NIL and the free COVID year that we're seeing these upsets. Plus, the transfer portal works both ways. Everyone wants to scream about mid-majors losing their stars because they want to go play a better school, but those mid-majors also get the overlooked high-major guy who is stuck on the bench or not playing enough.
March Madness is going to be so open again. Don't get me wrong, I don't think we see like Nebraska win it or something like that. But last year we had FAU and San Diego State in a Final Four. I don't think it's crazy to think we'll see a MWC team again this year or anything like that.
Side note, the real winner last night was this Auburn donor:
His buddy laughing at him while he loses his shit is perfect. This is what we need out of donors.
