People On The Internet Are Now Simping For Cameron Brink Who May Be The Best Women's Basketball Player In The Country

We hear a lot of Caitlin Clark this, Caitlin Clark that these days. It's the greatest show on hardwood whenever she steps on the court and this is going to be the case for the foreseeable future after she heads to the WNBA. It's undoubtably a great thing for women's sports and is Growing The Game (TM) in ways people never thought were imaginable.

Enter Cameron Brink. Brink is the best two-way player in women's basketball today, and she has a case for NPOY honors just as much as Caitlin Clark, Paige Bueckers, or JuJu Watkins from USC. This is nothing new, as Brink has been very good for years and is playing in her final year before the WNBA. I'm not a GM, but you can't go wrong with Clark/Brink 1 and 2 in the upcoming draft and that's exactly what will happen. If you're an analytics nerd, you'll maybe even like these stats that show no one, even Clark, is even particularly close to her this year:

So yesterday, in typical Cameron Brink fashion, she dropped a 20 point, 18 rebound game in another win for Stanford who is 8th in the country and sitting pretty at 13-1 this year. They're a true contender for the national championship and when the lights are indisputably the brightest with the media coverage around women's hoops this year, it's important to give Brink some flowers. So that's what Twitter is doing today, partially because she's dominant, and partially because the Internet loves to simp over pretty women:

I was a little shocked when I searched her name on Barstool SPORTS and we've never mentioned her. That changes today and when others go Iowa, I'm going Stanford and rooting for the Cardinals the whole way through. Farewell tour indeed for one of the game's greats. Oh, and she has family ties with Steph Curry and he might be her biggest fan:

No big deal. Sometimes greatness is destined.
