Here We Go! Kevin Hart, Cedric The Entertainer, And Michael Blackson All Fire Back At Katt Williams For Calling Them Out On Their Alleged Bullshit

Source - Katt Williams predicted his "Club Shay Shay" interview would have the internet in shambles ... and now some of the guys he attacked are fighting back.

Kevin Hart called Katt's comments "sad" Thursday but didn't squander the opportunity to plug his new action movie "Lift" with all the unsolicited buzz from the interview.

The Tweet:

Katt essentially labeled Kevin the "Jussie Smollett of comedy" -- a charlatan who was planted in the movie industry after arriving in Los Angeles from Philly without any real buzz, and claims to have turned down plenty of lowbrow roles that Kevin happily scooped up.

The long and short of it is that Katt Williams is accusing a bunch of black comedians of essentially gatekeeping success while freezing himself and others out of both opportunities and money. He called people joke stealers, frauds, fake comics, untalented, you name it. KFC also did a great job of breaking it down on TikTok. Well…it appears people are finally starting to fire back. Not only did Kevin Hart use it as an opportunity to plug his movie, but Michael Blackson took to twitter to respond to the allegations that he has a "fake African accent." LOL. The tweets…

Cedric The Entertainer also responded on twitter. He has since deleted the tweets but here's a screenshot…

So where do we go from here? Probably nowhere, but as Rico said in his blog there are three sides to every story. The first person's story, the second person's story, and the real story. Katt Williams clearly struck a cord with these guys for them to respond. There have also been rumblings on the internet of gatekeeping in the the black entertainment community for a while now and it's all coming to a head. And yes, I know that's a ridiculous sentence for me to write, but it's true. Look at what Monique has been doing for the past few years with Tyler Perry and Oprah. Anyway, Ludcacris also threw his hat into the ring so at least there's that…

If I had to guess I'd say this entire thing, while probably true, is nothing more than a way for Katt to get some publicity before he goes on tour. And I don't hate him for it. He's doing a great job of getting people to talk about him. He's also a thousand times funnier than anyone he called out. That's it for this one. If there's anything else on this story I'm sure someone will blog it but it's probably dead. Have a great Friday.
