Don't Let Anyone Tell You The Dab Is Dead

I think 2015 was the last time you could consider the world to be somewhat "normal". Everything has seemingly gone to shit since then. Times were simpler back then. Nobody was looking to find something new to be offended by every waking moment of their day. Instead, they were just looking for opportunities to "dab on them folks".

Giphy Images.

One small gesture managed to unite the entire world. At least for a few months. But then Hillary Clinton decided to dab, it was pronounced dead on the scene, and the world went to hell in a hand basket from there.

The dab has died. But what if the dab has risen? The dab will come again.

And now it's back thanks to Noah Ostlund playing for Team Sweden at the World Juniors. The kid was a 1st round draft pick for the Buffalo Sabres in 2022 for a reason. The first being that silky pair of mitts he has to finish off that breakaway and give Sweden a 4-2 lead over the Czechs late in the 3rd period. And the second is because it takes a hefty set of balls to bring a meme like that back from the dead all on your own. But it was flawless execution all around.

The dab is back, and Jersey Jerry finally made a hole-in-one. Maybe things are actually turning around in the world.

Sidenote: Even if things aren't turning around for the entire world, things are definitely going to start turning around soon for Detroit Red Wings fans once Axel Sandin-Pellikka comes to town. Kid is a stud.
