The "Kids Are Soft These Days" Narrative Is In Big Trouble After This Kid Willingly Lit Himself On Fire To Do A Backflip Into The Water
I've watched this video no less than a million times and my jaw is still on the floor. Can someone please explain to me how this is fake? Because there's no fucking way this is real. I know kids these days have tricks up their sleeves with their AI and their fancy editing skills, and they've got to be pulling a fast one on me right now. There's simply no way that this kid:
1. Poured Gasoline All Over His Body
2. Lit Himself On Fire
3. Backflipped Off A Balcony Into The Water
4. Lived To Tell The Tale
……but that's exactly what it looks like happened.
If true, this will shut the Boomers up. "Back in my day we used to have to walk to school, uphill both ways!" seems like small potatoes when you got kids lathering themselves in gasoline and lighting matches on their chest. Yes, please tell me more about when Men were Men and you had to deal with side effects of the Wars and Agent Orange. Newsflash: Agent Orange is
Just a ridiculous visual. And I'm reading the comments and no one is calling it fake. IS THIS REAL? I need a conspiracy theorist to determine if this is fake, a Scientist to tell me why this is possible, and a dermatologist to tell me why he's not waking up as Two-Face this morning. Can we get an after photo or what??
Anyways, the dude in the background urging him on with a "Come on! Come on! COME ON!" is giving me the cocaine fueled heebie-jeebies, but the kid in the background that yells "Hey, redo it!" after the first take has me laughing out loud. A great video to wake up to on this fine Christmas Eve morning. Excited to show my 80 year old Grandmother this afternoon and see her thoughts. My guess is that the "Kids are Soft" narrative may have taken a step back, but the "Kids have gotten dumber" narrative just took a million steps forward.
