The Pacers Stole The Game Ball After Giannis Scored 64 Points And He Immediately Lost His Shit

Just about a week ago, the Pacers shocked everyone with a very impressive 128-119 In Season Tournament win over the Bucks. Tyrese Haliburton did his own version of Dame Time, the IST favorites were eliminated and it was clear that there may be something brewing between these two teams. Nothing crazy, just a good old fashioned basketball beef.

Once that game ended, it was only natural to look ahead and see that these two teams would meet again in a week, this time in Milwaukee. Right from the jump, it was like things picked up right where we left off in Vegas. Early in the game you had the Bucks broadcasting crew essentially call for Haliburton to get a cheap shot while also being a wannabe superstar

Sounds like someone was still a little upset Haliburton ripped their hearts out last week. There's also nothing "wannabe" about how Tyrese Haliburton is playing. He's been incredible.

Then as the game went on, we had even more fuel to add to the fire, this time coming via an Aaron Nesmith foul on Giannis

Take a second and watch Thanasis on that play. Shoutout Jae Crowder for the quick reflexes because that looked like a man that was ready to take Aaron Nesmith's life. Was it all for show? Possibly, but either way a hard foul. Anytime you mess around with the neck/head it's always going to start something.

With Bobby Portis ejected not too long after, this game was truly off the rails. The thing is, while all this was going on Giannis was also having an absolutely incredible night

The Bucks ended up blowing the Pacers out to get their revenge, so now we an all move on right?

Wrong.

You see, the Pacers weren't done. Instead of just heading back to the locker room, they made sure they were leaving the court with something. It wasn't going to be a W, so you may as well take the game ball. Obviously after this historic performance they knew Giannis would want the ball, so taking it is very funny

Look at how mad he is! The full finger point yelling at Haliburton like he even has any idea what the hell is going on. Yikes. It's just a ball dude. Have someone on the team figure it out, it can't be that big a deal. Freaking out like that seems a little excessive. It didn't disappear, it's probably in the locker room. Take a deep breath and just enjoy the win.

And even though they're now saying they wanted it for their own rookie

I'm not buying it. That's just plausible deniability to me but not the true reason. They knew what they were doing.

I'm also sure the ref assumed it was a Bucks coach or something so chalk that up for another shining moment for Adam Silver's officials. Even when they don't try and fuck up they still fuck up. You can't write it any better than that.
