When Will It Be Enough?

I don't feel like bitching and moaning about the particular game or even about Brandon Staley, so let's just look at Telesco.

Tom Telesco

- 84-90 since taking over as GM of the Chargers. They've been to the playoffs 3 times in his tenure and have 2 wins to show for it. Heres his draft history of day 1 & 2.

We can definitively say that he's had 6 true hits in the 23 picks between 2013-2020 (I'll leave the jury out for the last two drafts but Zion is not trending treat, JT Woods is trending to hell, and QJ is looking to be one of the biggest WR whiffs since Reagor over JJ).

In Free Agency:

- Derek Cox for $20/4 in 2013. He was benched mid season and never played another NFL down.
- Donald Butler for $51.8/5 in 2014. He played (poorly) for the next 2 seasons before being cut. He started 5 games for Miami the next year and never played again.
- Orlando Franklin for $36.5/5 in 2015. He played 2 seasons before being cut. He played one more NFL game before retiring.
- Brandon Flowers for $36.4/4 in 2015. He played 17 games over the next 2 seasons before getting cut. He never played another NFL down.
- King Dunlap for $28/4 in 2015. He played 19 games over the next 2 seasons before getting cut. He never played another NFL down.
- Travis Benjamin for $24/4 in 2016. He had 783 total yards over the next 3 years before being cut. He never caught another NFL pass.
- Jahleel Addae for $22.5/4 in 2017. He played (poorly) the next two seasons before being cut. He started 4 more games in his career before retiring.
- Bryan Bulaga $30/3 in 2020. He played 10 total games that year and never played another NFL down.
- J.C. Jackson $82.5/5 in 2022. He played 7 total games for the team before being shipped back to NE for a 6th rounder.

The three coaches he hired:

- Mike McCoy (27-37)
- Anthony Lynn (33-31)
- Brandon Staley (24-23)

Telesco is cooked. 10 years and he doesn't have fuck all to show for it other than 3 disastrous head coaching hires that wasted the twilight of one franchise QB and the infancy of another. Staley's firing is just a matter of time, but my question is when will it be enough for Dean Spanos. They clearly need to clean house and I just don't understand what needs to happen at this point for him to make the call. How many more embarrassing losses? How many more cursed injury moments? GET US OUT OF THIS FUNK!
