Bills Coach Sean McDermott Used The 9/11 Terrorists As An Example Of A Group Of Guys Who Came Together To Accomplish A Common Goal When Addressing The Bills
Fine, I'll be the one to blog the Buffalo Bills 9/11 story. I'm not going to go deep into this. Or give any crazy 9/11 takes. I don't want to make light of the situation or anything like that. But someone at Barstool has to blog this. I mean that is fucking wild. You just can't use Mohamed Atta and the boys as an example for who your team should strive to be like. Holy shit, Sean McDermott.
Now let's be clear. And I hope I don't get in trouble for saying this. Sean McDermott is not wrong. The 9/11 terrorists put together a plan, and against all odds their plan succeeded. But do you know how many other groups of people executed a plan? What about George Washington during the Revolutionary War. Or... idk... what about Tom Brady and the New England Patriots? Maybe a football example would be better? Anything but telling your team to be like terrorists. He honestly might be in less trouble had he used Hitler as an example. You know... before the whole Russia thing.
God damn it, Sean McDermott. You gotta think that one through a little better. It's crazy that this speech happened in 2019, and it's just getting out now. I wonder if he's had that in the back of his mind for the last several years. Or if he'd completely forgotten about it, then all of the sudden he logs onto the internet and sees "Sean McDermott terrorists" trending. Unfortunately there's not statute of limitations for the media when it comes to slamming NFL coaches for making 9/11 references.
