Myles Garrett Apparently Has Structural Damage In His Shoulder But Says He's Going To Keep Playing Until The Wheels Fall Off

Given the fact that Garrett ‘felt a pop’ during the game and couldn’t lift his shoulder afterwards, it’s highly unlikely that there’s no damage inside. It doesn’t mean it will keep him from playing or that he’ll need surgery, but there’s an issue in the shoulder that’s been bothering him for awhile, and it got worse on Sunday.

In fact, it could be an aggravation of the AC joint sprain from flipping his Porsche last season, or it could be something new, such as a partial dislocation, where the ball slips out of the socket and then pops back in.

Alright so this Browns beat reporter has apparently put on her Doctor cap this morning and diagnosed Myles Garrett with structural damage in his shoulder. She's reading into the way Kevin Stefanski answers two-part questions, which I'll admit is a little shaky after the whole Deshaun Watson medically cleared / chose not to play situation. But so the way this story goes, Stefanski simply answered "Yes Sir" to a long question wondering if the MRI was clean and if Myles Garrett, despite the pain, intended on playing against the Rams on Sunday. He didn't confirm which part of the question he was answering, and he definitely didn't utter the phrase "structural damage". Which has led to this lady's article.

Hey media: ask better questions. If you want to know if there's structural damage, here's the question I would ask: Is there structural damage to Myles Garrett's shoulder? If Coach Stefanski says No, then the answer is No. If he says anything other than the word No, then the answer is Yes.

Anyways, it doesn't matter is there's structural damage or not, because Myles Garrett is playing til the fucking wheels come off. Source: Myles Garrett

When asked that day how his body was holding up, he said, “I feel terrible. Everything hurts, shoulder hurts. But we’ve got to keep on going, keep on rolling till the wheels fall off. We’re having great success and enjoying how this team is really coming together, especially down the stretch.

The shoulder is a hell of a long way from the heart, Coach!!!! That's what I'm fucking talking about, Myles Garrett. Willing to play through pain AND risk of further injury, as long as his arm is still hanging on to the rest of his body. I don't know what we did to deserve this guy (other than going 1-15 and 0-16 in back to back years), but I'm so glad we have him. He gets Cleveland.

Giphy Images.

I'm not here to take shots at Deshaun Watson, but I wonder if he would keep playing if he had structural damage in his shoulder……? Oh wait, he's already out. So is Nick Chubb. And so is Jack Conklin. Has a team ever lost 3 of its best 4 players before this point in the season and still went on to make the playoffs? Because that's how good this Browns defense has been. We have the most salary cap space sitting on Injured Reserve in the league, are sitting at 7-4, and have about a 70% chance of playing in the postseason according to ESPN.

^^ How can you read that last sentence not think Myles Garrett is the MVP of this league?
