Young Thug's Lawyer Says Thug Actually Stands For "Truly Humbled Under God" As He's On Trial For A RICO

It's Day 2 of the Young Thug trial and we already have some madness in the courtroom. There's no way this ends anytime soon, as he faces up to 120 years in prison if he's convicted of the RICO against YSL, Thug's label and alleged gang. We might be here for 6 months at this rate. The prosecutors are pulling out all the stops including reading out some of the lyrics to the song "Take It To Trial":

I'm not sure what a lot of that means, but "for slimes you know I kill" sounds like something that could potentially get the jury thinking. It's the age old argument about the art and the artist and whether or not their words could be used against them in a court of law. I'm no expert in law, and it's really not the point of this blog. That's neither here nor there. This trial has everything, including an emotional support dog for the judge?

With all that being said, we have to give credit to the lawyer here for being able to say this nonsense with a straight face. Talk about earning your check. I know he's paid, but I want a guy like Thug's lawyer Brian Steel in my corner at all times. Elite level lawyering to come up with a phrase like Truly Humbled Under God. It's anybody's guess to what this guy has in his pocket next. Young Thug might walk away on a technicality.

He also called him the Michael Jordan of Cleveland Avenue, the area of Atlanta where Young Thug is from:

Merriam-Webster has no choice but to update their definition of thug after the work of Mr. Steel. How dare the prosecution try and pin this man down for checks notes violating Georgia's Racketeer Influenced And Corrupt Organizations Act with 28 other people, with an indictment of 65 counts of felony charges, 6 of which apply to Young Thug. This is just a man who was humbled by God!

This probably won't be my last blog on the trial which thankfully for all of us is televised and will surely produce infinite more clips before it's all said and done. The gift that keeps on giving.
