We Need A Wellness Check On Skip Bayless After This Rant About How "Lucky" The Eagles Have Been

Listen. Nobody has ever gone to Skip Bayless for rational thoughts and opinions on sports. Nobody has ever gone to him for detailed analysis on the game. But at no point in his rambling, incoherent rant about how lucky the Eagles have been over this 4 game stretch was he even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought.

I don't understand this narrative one bit. And it's not just Skip Bayless. It's seemingly everyone who isn't an Eagles fan. They keep talking about how "lucky" the Eagles have got because of things like the Chiefs dropping a shit ton of passes. Not once do these dipshits stop and think that maybe, just maybe, that's a sign of the Chiefs not actually being a great football team rather than the Eagles being lucky. Did the Eagles get lucky, or are the Chiefs' receivers just actually bad? Maybe if it happened once or twice, you could make the case for the Eagles getting lucky. But it's every single week.

That's the thing right there that people aren't able to see. There are a lot of bad football teams in the NFL right now. Even the good ones have plenty of flaws. The Chiefs don't score in the 2nd half. The Commanders are actually horrible, but just play good against Philly. The Cowboys are the Cowboys and Dak is never going to show up when the lights are the brightest. And the Bills defense was too worried about fighting the fans yesterday to get their offense the stops they needed to get out of there with a win.

That's not the Eagles getting lucky. Those are just 4 teams who all deserved to lose games, and the Eagles provided those losses to them. But people like Skip Bayless have become so used to watching shitty football teams who aren't able to make adjustments at halftime and pull off comeback wins, that they think the only way it happens is through luck. This shit ain't luck. This is just what Jalen Hurts does.

Once might be a gift. Twice could be a little lucky. But 4 comeback wins in a row, with the best quarterback in football when your team is trailing? If anything, those teams are all lucky that the Eagles didn't beat them by more.

Pray for Skip.
