I Tried To Shadow Our Producers And Ruined Barstool Sports Advisors In The Process
I have spoken about what a great idea this year's Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale is that benefits our behind the scenes people. It's Dave's best idea yet. It fits the theme of the company being back to the old days, under Dave's control and out making the best content possible. The behind the scenes people (editors, producers, social, graphics) are some of the hardest working, creative, witty, determined, and best people we have within these doors.
I decided to shadow one of them and learn exactly what they do, to understand even more just how difficult their jobs are. I chose Jake Lasofsky. In addition to making me look like an idiot every time I bet against Missouri ...
He is one of the nicest guys we got here, and an extremely hard worker. In fact one of the only times he's ever taken a vacation was because he donated a kidney to a stranger to help move his Dad up the list. All time good guy.
He is one of our best editors. He is part of the team editing Surviving Barstool, and he also does Barstool Advisors. Jake gave me an opportunity to try and edit the show, and as you can see … it's harder than it looks. I wiped out every edit he made, and there's a chance we miss the release time of 7pm Friday night. A complete shithead move by me. Tried to help, and instead fucked things up. The good thing is unlike the walking technical malfunction that I am, Jake is so smart he can fix anything. Just another reason to love the guys behind the scenes, and just another reason to support guys like this who work their ass off for one of the best and most creative shows we got every week.
If you plan on watching Advisors tomorrow night you have guys like Jake to thank, especially after saving the footage I fucked up, go check out some of the new merch we have in The Barstool Store and support all the behind the scenes people working their asses off.
