Purdue's President And Tennessee's AD Got Into A Pissing Match On Twitter Because Of How Much The Refs In Their Game Sucked

There's no other way to put it, that game sucked ass. I know it was a close game, but that sucked. We have the best Maui Invitational field of all time. We had all the 4 big teams win their first round game to set up these semifinals. Purdue/Tennessee was awful to watch. 52 fouls, 78 free throws, no one had any idea what the fuck was going on out there. The refs completely lost control of the game, especially in the first half when Rick Barnes complained for a technical got it, then they called a foul on Zach Edey on a missed dunk for simply standing there, I think that's the reason at least. Then it was a mess. Just foul call after foul call and players couldn't even adjust to the game because no one knew what the hell a foul was.

I say all that because it led to an incredible pissing match started by Purdue's President:

That's just an insane thing to see tweeted by a president of a school. I mean, hey, I like it, but it's also peak Purdue. Why? Because he turned off the replies! You can't talk shit and then hide. You also can't do the stay safe thing. That's just lame, but again, Purdue here.

Luckily you can still quote tweet it and Tennessee's AD made sure to do just that:

Ahh, yes. Two people both complaining that their team is getting hosed. That's college basketball baby. I love Purdue's president calling Tennessee a wrestling team. First time man? That's what Rick Barnes does. His whole defensive philosophy is like what Bob Huggins used to do, physical to the point of fouling every possession, make the refs blow a whistle and annoy your opponents. Offense? Yeah it's still a mess. Not that there's much to take away from this sort of game, but yeah, good win Purdue. I guess that's it? They missed 19 free throws, Zach Edey is still a monster, Loyer is damn good. I like Lance Jones a lot, but there's nothing to really take away from a game that took 2 and a half hours because of foul calls.

I just hope Purdue's president turns this into a bit.
