Angel Reese Misses Another Game For LSU As Kim Mulkey Says "You Want To Know More Than You're Entitled To Know" On Her Alleged Suspension
Another LSU game is in the books, this time a 106-47 thrashing of Texas Southern, but the news remains around Angel Reese and her absence from the team. Since I wrote my initial blog a few days ago we've got a couple more updates:
Since then, Angel Reese made a tweet insinuating that not everything is as it seems:
She also reposted this video of Deion's presser from earlier in the year about not caring about anyone's opinion:
Can we call a spade a spade and say that Kim Mulkey is handling this entire situation extremely poorly? The "if you do disciplining of your own children, do you think we're entitled to know that" line makes me think the speculation is true, and if it isn't, Mulkey's presser after every game isn't helping that narrative. Offering no clarity and letting the entire Internet think she's suspended because of her grades and is just there to pocket some NIL money is the opposite of protecting your players. Let's check in with our resident NIL analyst Rovell on his take on the whole situation:
Thanks Darren!
The good (or bad) news is that LSU is traveling to the Cayman Islands for a Thanksgiving week tournament and we'll quickly find out how apart of the team Angel is going to be this season on their biggest travel week of the entire year not named the NCAA Tournament. My journey as a part time LSU women's basketball beat reporter simply because I love clicks continues. Until the next update.
