Lisa Ann Says That The Invention Of MILF's Saved Her Career

It is one of the most popular categories on pornographic sites — and a former adult star has revealed why she loved playing a “MILF.”

Lisa Ann Corpora, who became involved in the adult entertainment industry at 18 as a dancer, progressed to starring in MILF (“mother I’d like to f–k”) roles as she got older, and absolutely loved it.

When I opened this article I never thought I would turn it into a blog. I only clicked it due to my underlying horniness. I thought to myselt, "Oh look, it's Lisa Ann the porn star, I should open this so that the Chinese overlords who Apple sells my search history to know that I'm a straight-ass, red-blooded American male." First things first, I was surprised to learn that MILF is a relatively new term.

“The term MILF came around the same time as ‘Desperate Housewives,’ when it was super hot to see the stay-at-home wife hook up with the gardener,” Corpora told news.com.au while in Melbourne for Sexpo last week. 

Who would have guessed that Desperate Housewives invented MILF's? I mean.. I guess it makes sense. I used to watch Desperate Housewives with my family every Sunday night. I'm not exactly sure how my family, which consists of my dad, mom, and 2 younger brothers ended up being a Desperate Housewives family, but it happened. Maybe it's because I was a 12 year old child who had just learned how to be horny, and Eva Longoria was the smokingest hot woman I'd ever seen in my life.

Eva Longoria may have been my first childhood crush. Her or Jennifer Anniston. Followed shortly by Jamie Lynn Spears a few years later. But to answer my own question, yes, in hindsight Eva Longoria was definitely why I was glued to my TV every Sunday night from 9-10pm. 

But I never would have guessed Desperate Housewives invented MILF's. Could that really be true? Did the term MILF not exist until the mid 2000's? It seems like such an obvious acronym. And am I really supposed to believe that until the term MILF, porn stars entering the late 30's-early 40's had no category to porn in? I think that's what Lisa Ann is telling us here.

“It was normal. It was fun. It was cute. But it was also a way to elongate our careers. We didn’t know if there was going to be work for us past a certain age.”

She said the “beautiful” thing about playing a MILF was that the scenes were a lot less graphic and intense than is typical for adult entertainment.

“The MILF is in control. I think for a lot of women as we get older in the business, that’s what we want,” she said.

Corpora, who regularly speaks at events like Sexpo, also enjoyed the costuming because it involved more detailed lingerie such as stockings and wrap dresses.

“I just love the style of the MILF because it was very much my style,” she said.

That's just fantastic marketing  I'm sure there was some sort of market for mid-40's porn stars. But typing "slightly older woman" into the PornHub search bar is much more time consuming than firing off a quick "MILF." Ever since then, the MILF category has turned into one the best money makers in the history of pornography.

Here's another fun fact about MILF's. Guess what time of year PornHub sees the word MILF trending? If you guessed Mother's Days, you're a pervert, but you're also correct.

According to Pornhub’s Mother’s Day report, MILF is a popular category all year around, but it spikes by 7.8 percent on this particular date. 

Good for MILF's. I'm glad the MILF category has had such a successful run over the last couple decades. And I'm glad Lisa Ann has parlayed the acronym into a porn career. A career that involves her randomly showing up at Barstool HQ every few months. There has been multiple occasions where I looked up from my desk and just saw Lisa Ann following Glenny Balls around the office for some reason.
