Brandon Staley Pooped His Pants Postgame When Asked Why He Won't Give Up Defensive Playcalling
This dude is just fucking clueless, man. He goes off on a few things in the full presser (linked below) but I want to focus on what he said in the clip above. When questioned why he wont give up defensive play calling, he shits his pants and is offended as to why reporters keep asking. There is a very clear and obvious reason my dude.
I'll just reiterate what I said in my shredding of him last week:
Staley is from the Fangio tree and his whole 2-high system is supposed to eliminate explosive plays. Since 2021 they have given up a league-leading 112 plays of at least 25 yards.
2021: T-3rd most points allowed/game (27)
2022: T-9th most points allowed/game (22.6)
2023: 9th most points allowed/game (23.9)
There are 15 total games of Staley's 43 game tenure that the Defense finished with a positive EPA, they were playing Nick Foles, Zach Wilson, Aidan O’Connell, Derek Carr (three times), Tyson Bagent, Drew Lock, Russell Wilson, Ryan Tannehill and Malik Willis, Baker Mayfield, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Taylor Heinicke, and Mac Jones.
All this dude does is watch as Justin Herbert tries to be absolutely perfect on offense vs average or better opponents and then brag when his defense beats up on the losers of the NFL. It's pathetic!
