AWESOME: Luke Combs And Morgan Wallen Hopped On Stage And Only Sung The Other Person's Songs After Tying For BMI Country Songwriter Of The Year

I won't lie I'm not someone who can break down music. I hear it and go yeah that's good or I don't ever want to listen to that again. That's basically my rating scale, somewhat similar to the Balls Scale. Here's what I do know. Luke Combs and Morgan Wallen are fucking massive stars. It doesn't matter what you think about them, this version of country, whatever. They are massive stars. You can't deny it even if you want to. 

So a couple nights ago was the BMI Country Music Awards. Again, not exactly the difference between this and the CMA's which were last night. Seems kinda crazy to have to country awards show back-to-back nights, but what do I know. Somehow we even got a tie. Again, there can't be ties for awards. You need to award one winner. You can't have ties. This isn't soccer where we just accept it and move on. You need to have an odd number of judges so someone declares the winner. 

Anywho, they celebrated by hopping on stage and only singing the others songs. Awesome. I could listen to Luke Combs sing all day, every day. Huge fan and not just because he gets Sundae Conversation, is a huge football fan and loves him some beer. 

Really, this just made me miss the glory days of people performing at award shows. The VMAs used to be must watch because of this. It feels rare these days we get these award shows where you have to watch someone sing. I don't know what happened, it just sort of went away. But having these two stars sing with one guitar in the background? Awesome. Congrats on the tie too or whatever.
