The LA Rams Sign Carson Wentz Because...There Has To Be A Good Reason, Right?
Welp, good luck! I guess I kind of get it. The ageless HOF wonder Matt Stafford is actually aging and is hurt (again). They already released cut loose Brett Rypien, the Rams starter from LAST WEEK. There's not much out there when it comes to QB's with adequate starting experience in the NFL. What's there to lose if you're Sean McVay? Well, other than your football team once Carson Wentz hits the locker room. Philly to Indy to Washington to LA, all since 2020. It'll certainly be interesting to see if the former #2 overall pick can get run out of his 4th city in as many seasons.
They got good duck hunting in LA? If not, get on acquiring some land around Sofi Stadium, Rams. Just know that shooting quackers is going to be more important than holding onto the football if Carson Wentz ever sees the field.
Honestly tho, McVay was able to get Baker Mayfield a starting position back late last year. Could he do the same for Wentz?Personally I think he's a little too far gone, but we'll see. He certainly HAD the talent. Hindsight is forever 20/20 and OBVIOUSLY the Eagles were in the right to move on from Wentz when they did, but the fact remains the Birds would not have won their only Super Bowl if it weren't for #11 balling out that year before his injury. Like Dislike him or hate him, Wentz with his ACL in tact (until ironically vs the Rams that season) was the surefire MVP of the league.
PS - Actually wild.
