Ryan Day Was Asked Point Blank If He Turned In Michigan For Cheating And He Didn't Say No

Look I've said since day one of this egregious, abhorrent sign-stealing / game-altering / history-revising cheating scandal that will ultimately go down as one of the worst things to happen in the history of the sport, I'm going to call it as I see it. It's no secret that I have a dog in the fight, but this is not an Ohio State / Michigan thing. I'm blogging this each day from an unbiased perspective as a college football fan. One that wants to see the game withstand these disgusting proven allegations that if gone unpunished will make the sport essentially the Wild Wild West, an era of no rules and rampant wrong doing.

So to recap, am I mad that Michigan did this? No, I respect the fuck out of it. Jim Harbaugh knew he couldn't beat Ohio State, so he hired a military spy to cheat his cock off and save a once prominent Michigan program. I respect anyone that will do anything to win. If Ohio State isn't cheating this year after losing** two in a row, then shame on them.

But did Michigan do it? Yes, obviously. The evidence is literally insurmountable. Everyone except for the spineless Big Ten Commissioner and the due-process for my guys, but not for anyone else University of Michigan President knows it and wants them held accountable.

And should they be punished for it? Yes, duh. That's the classic risk/reward of breaking the clear and obvious rules. The reward is you broke the century long losing streak** against Ohio State, making the playoff two years in a row and winning a few Big Ten Championships**. You revived a program that was on life support. But the risk? Getting caught = getting punished. That's just how the world works.

Anyways, that's my official stance on everything, and not to bury the lead but here's my stance on this new Ryan Day video: this is a bad look. At best, he's an idiot for not saying No. If you didn't do it, you simply have to say it. And by not saying it, I have to think he had some involvement.....? If not, why not quote the throat goat herself, Nancy Regan, and just say No?

Now let's be clear: regardless of if Ohio State turned in Michigan or not, it is irrelevant to the matter at hand. Michigan broke the rules, and Michigan should be punished. And honestly, if Ohio State did turn them in, good for Ryan Day. If you can't beat them, turn them in to the FBI for cheating. Again, whatever it takes to win.

To you idiots thinking he might catch a RICO charge or actually get in trouble for turning them in, shut up. You know that's not true. I just wish Ryan Day would've just taken a stance either way with this question. "No Comment" is for pussies. I either want a No, I didn't do it. Or I want a Yes, fuck those cheaters. But don't hit me with a No Comment.
