Walmart Put Out A Mean Girls Themed Commercial For Black Friday, Bringing Back Most Of The Heavy Hitters From The Movie
We're missing the Queen Bee Rachel McAdams herself in this video, but I think it's safe to say Walmart crushed this. I love a creative ad mixed with nostalgia, and despite only getting about 5/10 of the major players in the film, I think they did a great job. Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Seyfried, Lacey Chabert, MISSY ELLIOT?! A+++. I genuinely wonder how much this group of people got paid to do this, and where the line was drawn personally for Rachel McAdams. Does she get out of bed for a million dollars? Is she too cool? Maybe scheduling didn't line up? Regardless, its working fine for me without her.
I also wonder if there's ANY WORLD where we get a spin off of some kind where the Mean Girls become the Mean Moms. I would watch that in a heartbeat. When Gretchen Weiners was standing in the aisle filming her daughter and friends do their slutty Christmas dance on stage, it felt like home. I know Lacey and Lindsay are busy over at Hallmark HQ, and Amanda Seyfried is out here acting her ass off in everything she stars in, but surely we could make a little time? Tina Fey's all done writing the Mean Girls Musical Movie, surely she has a few extra moments to crank out another story? Wishful thinking.
