I Am Being Destroyed For My J.J. Watt Tweet

J.J. Watt is one of the baddest dudes to ever play in the NFL. Is he corny online sometimes? Yes. But who cares?! He is an all-time great and people putting themselves out there are bound to miss in the eye of the public once in awhile! I would never crucify him for not batting 1.000. We can't all be The King of New York and never miss.

J.J. is enjoying his first season as a retired player and he is the NFL on CBS pre-game/halftime/post-game desk with the likes of James Brown, Phil Simms, Boomer Esiason, Nate Burleson, Bill Cowher and others. Well yesterday J.J. wore a very bold pink blazer and it took me right back to Miss Wagstaff's class in 1998. 6th Grade Math. She was a fun teacher. Started the Chalk 1 Up For Math club (of which I was a member), but also had some sass if people snapped at her. She would often wear an oversized pink blazer and so when I saw J.J. in the male version, this tweet came directly into my mind.

Now minutes after firing this one off, I thought it was a banger. "Great work today Cheah" I thought to myself. Then I opened up Twitter only to find the funny police were knocking at my door.

Then the onslaught began:

Feitelberg is actually spot on with this one:

Because everyone focused on the guy under the bright pink suit with bulging muscles is missing the point. Miss Wagstaff was like 5'1" and very skinny! It's just a fun, young teacher outfit, but the look J.J. is giving is a bit sassy. So it really almost made my caption.

Now did this resontate the way I'd hoped with a ton of people online? No

Did this make major waves online? You betcha. So mission, at least kind of…accomplished.

And let me just put everyone on notice - if you're on TV and wearing a suit I deem to be ugly, I'm coming for you! The NY Post did a write up of my critique of Greg Olsen's jacket a few weeks ago.

And I'd be remiss to not mention - shoutout to J.J. Watt for being a good sport. I met him at the Super Bowl last year and he's a big Barstool guy. The fact he knew my name still doesn't seem real to me. But he took an intended ribbing in stride like the champ he is.

What a world!
