"Ahhhhh I'm surfing! Hey honey take a good picture, I'm DEAD!"

One second you're out enjoying the waves in beautiful Australia and the next a giant humpback whale decides to get some fresh air as he blows you out of the water. NOT IN HIS HOUSE! And not only does the whale deliver this massive hit, but he finishes the play out dragging you 20 to 30 feet below the surface. He didn't hear a whistle to stop play. Shouldn't have been surfing there. Great stick.

(source) Jason Breen was surfing his wind foil along the Sydney coast when a Humpback whale surfaced directly beneath him, knocking him clean off his board and dragging him around 30 feet underwater.

"I saw the head come out, then I saw the rest of the body come out, then I saw the whole thing above me," Mr Breen told Channel7 News. "About that stage, I'm going to be honest, I thought I was in trouble," he added.

Mr Breen was then sucked under the surface and body rolled with the whale for what he described as "a lifetime".

He added: "The whole time I was under the water I could just feel the mass of it pressing against my body and pushing me down.

This is why I'll always been firmly team pool over ocean.

He explained that the whale's smooth skin meant that he passed unharmed, but an adult's hide covered in barnacles would likely have "ripped me to pieces".

The surfer walked away from the incident without any injuries and plans on getting straight back into the sea.

This lunatic is itching to get back out there! Got lucky, shoulda been ripped to shreds, yeah let's do it again.

P.S. Whenever a QB gets lit up from his blindside after thinking he had a clean pocket to throw in I haven't the slightest clue how they ever 1) hang onto the ball 2) survive. Basically like getting hit by a car or a humpback whale in this case. All my bones would shatter into a million pieces. They hang onto the ball and then complete the very next pass. Every time I'll stand there watching in amazement.
