Australian Spies Will Begin Monitoring Pornhub In An Effort To Crack Down On Any Cyber Threat Intelligence Activities

Australia’s cyberspies are using a digital surveillance tool to monitor the world’s most popular social media platforms and websites, as well as online communities for pregnant people, bodybuilders and fetishists.

ShadowDragon allows users to search by name, online handles, phone numbers, emails and other information. It provides a number of uses for this information: it can be searched; it can be used to create a map of an individual’s networks; it can be proactively monitored for references (including sentiment).

Floreani said the government’s use of ShadowDragon shows how corporate and state surveillance are fundamentally intertwined: “Surveillance capitalism isn’t just a boon to digital platforms and advertising companies, it also enables government agencies to leverage the huge amounts of data gathered across the internet for their own surveillance purposes, often without adequate rights-protections, oversight or accountability.”

So Australia is dipping their toes into the internet spy game. You have to imagine most first world countries are already doing what the Aussies are implementing right now, but credit to to them for their efforts. I feel like Australia has participated in wars in the past by helping out allies, but they themselves have never had anything happen on their soil. I'd chalk that up to the country being filled with various things that can and want to kill you. Half the country is inhabitable. Plus they're kinda just out there on their own. They drink a ton of beer, have awesome accents. do their rugby shenanigans, and just have a blast 24/7. If you invade them you've got issues.

Well, they've apparently gotten spooked enough to start spying on all sorts of platforms and website. One specifically being Pornhub.

The full list of places isn’t published but its promotional material lists places including Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, YouTube, X, Google, Amazon, Tumblr, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Reddit, 4Chan, Skype, Spotify, Twitch, Xbox network, PornHub, SoundCloud, Gab, Foursquare, Tripadvisor, Tinder, Etsy, PayPal, Flickr, Imgur, Disqus, eBay, GitHub, DeviantArt, Blogger, FetLife, BitChute, parenting forum BabyCenter, social network for Black people BlackPlanet and more.

Now I don't know about you, but the comment section over at the Hub is probably the nicest community out there. They never argue and instead look to help each other out, like for example how to cook. Wouldn't shock me at all if the Tank gets some of his recipes from here.

They often find themselves concerned for others.

And then sometimes the conversation completely strays to important topics.

Now is there a chance that all of that is a bunch of smoke and mirrors? This whole time were government secrets and treasonous acts being discussed right below Kelsi Monroe being run through on the Bang Bus? It's the perfect crime.

I'm not sure you know how difficult it was to find a "PG" Kelsi Monroe gif

Imagine our modern version of The Imitation Game and the next World War centers around the Pornhub comment section?

It's genius, but the Aussies may be onto them. Let's have a quick look at their 2022 metrics for research purposes.

Mia Khalifa at number 3? Way too high. Almost suspiciously too high. Just something to ponder, folks. Don't ask me about "girl with two vaginas" because I don't want to know, but the Khalifa love feels abnormal.

Now let's say Pornhub is in the clear and we're just over-thinking things. What website/platform that we're not already suspicious of could be used for this type of secrecy?

Online communities for pregnant people? Barstool Sports? Nah, my immediate and only answer is the chat community for illegal sports streams. I don't trust those people and they should all be on a watch list. Have you ever looked at that shit? You have to be a fucking insane person to be able to 1) be able to follow the conversation 2) type in it and engage with the fellow commenters. How could the FBI, CIA, or NSA ever figure out what's going on in there? They'd have strokes before getting to the bottom of it. You could communicate anything in there with it going unchecked. Not trying to give ideas out there, but we've got nothing to stop that.

Just some food for thought on this Friday. The Hub isn't necessarily my platform of choice these days, but in the event I stumble over there in the future I might take a gander at the comment section and wonder just maybe if we've got government secrets being discussed in code. You never know.
