Maybe Brittany Mahomes Isn't Actually That Bad?

This clip of Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes celebrating together with a secret handshake has hit Twitter like a god damn meteor. Angry NFL incel fans are sounding off on Twitter thinking this is a sign of the apocalypse and are letting it ruin their football Sundays for some reason. It's nothing new. Brittany Mahomes has been one of the Internet's most hated figures for the past few years. People hate the videos of her celebrating. They hate her facial expressions. They hate her personality. They hate everything about her. But I'm ready to say something brave......... what if Brittany Mahomes just isn't that bad?

The only people who seem to hate Brittany are people who have never met her. Patrick has been with her for 11 years and married her. They started dating in high school and since then he's gone on to become a D1 quarterback, a first round pick, an MVP, a Super Bowl Champion, the face of the NFL, and one of the greatest QBs to ever live. I'm sure he's had a ton of women to choose from throughout this journey, but he's stuck with her the entire time. Makes you think maybe she's not unbearable to be around?

And now she's seemingly become friends with Taylor Swift? Sure maybe Taylor is just being nice to her because Patrick and Travis are friends. But maybe she actually just likes her? She's choosing to sit with her every game. She doesn't HAVE to do that. She's the most powerful woman on Earth she can do whatever the hell she wants. But apparently what she wants to do is sit next to Brittany Mahomes and celebrate with secret handshakes. 

And really what is the knock on Brittany Mahomes? The champagne spraying thing? If she wasn't already so hated by everyone that's a complete non-story. Oh she was celebrating her husband winning and some fans got champagne on them? Are we gonna act like there aren't 100 beer showers at every single NFL game? Give me a break. They should be honored to be sprayed by their Queen!

I only watched one episode of Quarterback but everyone who's watched the full series says she comes off fine. Just a supportive, passionate wife to the greatest QB in football. And that's the other thing. People often hate on WAGs because they're deemed to be disloyal clout chasers but that's not the case here. They started dating when Patrick was in high school! She had no clue he'd go on to become one of the greatest QBs of all time. And honestly if she did know that then we should stan her as the greatest football scout of all time. 

Let me also add that I'm not including Jackson in any of this. If you defend Brittany people say "Oh but Jackson!!! What about Jackson!!! He's bad!!!" Ummmm guess what? Jackson Mahomes and Brittany Mahomes are two different people. I don't think it's fair to lump them together and blame her for everything bad Jackson does. 

So you can officially consider me a Brittany Mahomes stan. I worship our Queen. When you trash her, I will defend her. 

PS: Really speaks to the power of Taylor that it just took one video of them doing a high five for me to think "Maybe Brittany is kind of cool?"

PPS: People are saying this is a day of "bad takes" for me because I also was trashing Scott Hanson earlier (more on that some other time) but to that I say..... sorry for being a free thinker!
