Of Course The Umpire In Game 3 Of Phillies Vs. Diamondbacks Statistically Had One Of The Worst Performances In MLB Playoff History

No excuses. Nope. Not gonna do it. The Phillies and their bats which had been on more fire than Hades only managed 1-run off 3-hits and whiffed 13 times in the loss. Can't blame the umps. Won't do it. Nope.

That being said. When you statistically have one of the most dogshit performances in a high profile postseason game...

Giphy Images.

Literally saw it in the first AB of the game where Kyle Schwarber's eye roll at Blue told the entire story of what's to come. I'm not saying it's what cost the Phillies the ballgame, again, but collectively we gotta be doing a better job out there. It's the freaking playoffs. And it seems like this season there's been more Ump Shows than in years past. Is it the advance in technology where us mortals can instantly see the right or wrong call from the couch and just notice more mistakes? Is it the human Umps getting it all out there before AI fully takes over the game? Or do these guys just plain suck now more than ever? No idea. But it's never a good sign when you statistically rank worse than the Fallen Angel of Blue himself:

Figure it out. Game 4 tonight. Christopher Sanchez has been underrated/undervalued all year and the Phillies are going up against the meh Diamondbacks bullpen the entire game. Expect pain in the desert. Go Phils.
