Troy Aikman's Girlfriend Was Fired From Nordstrom For Using Her Employee Discount

SOURCE - Troy Aikman’s girlfriend, Haley Clark, was fired and temporarily banned from her previous job at Nordstrom after the retail giant accused her of stealing nearly $4,000 worth of products, according to court documents obtained by the Daily Mail.

Clark, 34, was accused of stealing $3,924.44 in products through improper use of her employee discount while she worked as the director of sales at Trunk Club, a Nordstrom-owned company, in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area in October 2017, per the federal court documents.

This seems like much ado about not much? I guess I need to know more about this employee discount. Is it like 25% off? If so, why would Nordstrom be upset about stuff still being bought. If "discount" means free shit, then that's different.

According to Nordstrom, Haley liked the employee discounts so much that she even used another employee's discount code as well.  I guess Nordstrom calls their employee discount program "Nordstrom Notes" which seems kind of lame to me.

In Jada Pinkett/Will Smith style, no one even knew Troy Aikman was divorced from his second wife for almost three years. Him and his ex-wife never publicly said they had separated or divorced so people didn't know he wasn't still married until he started to be seen with Haley.

I obviously don't know all the details but it seems to me that Haley and her friends seem like great people and should clearly be allowed to use their hard-earned employee discounts. I worked at McDonald's in the late 90's and part of our massive benefit package was 50% off at any McDonald's affiliated with the franchise I worked for. Did I buy Arch Deluxe's and McRib's for my friends and family using my discount card? Of course I did. I have always been scrawny and weird looking. No one thought I was going to eat 4 Big Macs and just as many Super Sized fries all by myself. But did anyone pass judgement? No. Did anyone threaten my job? No. I was just given good food to enjoy at half off.

Shame on you Nordstrom.
