RESPECT: Spencer Strider Says People Are Using The Playoff Format As An Excuse And The Braves Have Nobody To Blame But Themselves

OK Spencer. OK. Look, if we're going to designate the Braves as being the softest franchise in the history of professional sporting combat - 

- We also gotta give credit where credit is due. Spencer Strider is correct. People are trying to use the current playoff format as an excuse and if you can't make the adjustment to 5 days off, you've got nobody to blame but yourself. It's called accountability. And you know what? Sure, Strider took two L's in the series, but he still pitched his dick dry enough for the Braves to win. However, victory is unlikely when your team gives you exactly 1(!!!) run in the two starts the Ace is on the bump. Not good for business. 

Spencer did give up some dingers tho. Some wonderful, glorious dingers. Now please enjoy this video of all 11 Phillies NLDS dingers set to the theme song from Action News. Jim Gardner damn well approves. 

The Braves had 3 home runs in the NLDS, btw. They tied the record in the regular season, but got out dingered 11-3 in the playoffs by the Phillies. 11-3. The Braves also only mustered 2, 1, and 0 runs in 3 of the 4 games played, too. That's the historically greatest offense of all-time. 8 runs total in 4 games. 1-3 record overall. And the Phillies beat the Braves for the 2nd straight year to advance to the NLDS. Just ICYMI.
