The Only Conference Realignment Move That Makes Sense: The Big 12 Is Reportedly Talking To Gonzaga (Again) About Joining The League Next Year

We're all sick of conference realignment. It's stupid, it makes no sense, it's ruining everything that's great about college sports. But this? This is the only move that makes sense. It's the only move I want to see because Gonzaga in the Big 12 would just be awesome. It would automatically eliminate the same boring ass story we get every February or so when people start realizing Gonzaga is on pace for a top-2 seed. Everyone just assumes they stink because they play in the WCC, no matter what happens.

Get them to the best conference in college basketball and that story goes away. Plus look at that league? Gonzaga, Iowa State, Houston, Oklahoma State, TCU, Kansas, Kansas State, BYU,  Baylor, etc? Yeah, give me that. Hell that doesn't even include someone like Arizona who is joining the conference. That's how there's a good game on every single conference game, even with Cincinnati and UCF in there right now.

That said, I'm getting sick of all the flirting. This is the 3rd time we've had this report basically. Just get down to fucking, it's 2023 for crying out loud. There's no reason for Gonzaga to be in the WCC the way college sports currently are going. They are a staple in college basketball. They aren't a mid-major. They should be playing teams like this on a regular basis and not just in the nonconference. If we're not getting conferences that make sense at least give me loaded basketball conferences like this. There ain't a Pac-12 anymore, so Gonzaga should just go here.

All I know is we need this to happen and then no more conference realignment. I can't keep forgetting who is going where and then see an ACC game where Wake Forest is playing Cal. It makes no goddamn sense.
