The System QB Nonsense Has To Stop With Brock Purdy - He's Just Really Fucking Good And Now a Legitimate MVP Candidate

System QB.

Check-down king,

Product of the weapons around him.

Just wait until the league gets film on this guy!

Enough. Stop it.

Brock Purdy is fucking awesome and the Niners feel like the front runner for the Super Bowl right now in large part because of him. Just look what he did to the Cowboys defense last night?

Oh he doesn't have elite arm strength? He'll admit that to you, but it looks like he's doing just fine in that department.

And I'm sure his critics are quiet right now given the Niners are a well oiled machine who decimate anyone in their path. Only the click-bait contrarians who get paid to look like assholes on TV are stupid enough to question him right now. But you know his real doubters are just chomping at the bit for him to slip up. And by that I mean lose a single game he's started and finished. That still hasn't happened yet.

The kid is flat out good and we see it every week. Does it help to have Shanahan calling plays? Duh. Possessing weapons like McCaffrey, Deebo, Kittle, and Aiyuk? Of course, but the Niners are on a whole different level than they ever were with game manager Jimmy G. Purdy makes plays and wins you games. The way he uses his mobility to move in and out of the pocket is a thing of beauty. He can kill you in so many ways.

You know who I see a lot in him? Tony Romo, and that's not a bad thing. Romo got way too much shit during his playing days, but he was a stud. Purdy looks like a less turnover-prone Romo and that my friends is a pretty damn good guy to have.

There was a two play series last night that began with a perfect throw to Aiyuk for 40 yards on 3rd down. It was called back for holding. On 3rd and 13 Purdy then decided to hit Deebo on this crossing pattern for another dime. Perfect throw.

That one picked up a measly 42 which set up one of Kittle's three touchdowns. I showed you one before, but here's another just because.

It's a thing of beauty to watch Purdy run this offense.

Also, what a sight this was pregame seeing Lance and Brock link up.

If you didn't know any better you'd think Lance was Mr. Irrelevant and Purdy was the dude the Niners spent three 1st rounders on. What a mind fuck.

I find it beyond nuts that he was passed on in the draft as many times as he was. How do you miss a guy who has this ability? Paid NFL scouts, GMs, executives, coaches. They all whiffed. Every team ignored him for almost all seven rounds like he had some off the field problems that were toxic and untouchable. Nope, they just thought he stunk.

To be honest watching him at Iowa State, I don't exactly blame them. He was nothing special. Solid college numbers, but nothing that jumped off the page. You didn't watch him and ever thought game changer NFL QB. Turns out it was just a bad situation that was holding him back. Now he's the starting quarterback of a Super Bowl front-runner and a legitimate MVP candidate in the NFL. Out-fucking-rageous. You're supposed to struggle early on in the NFL. Ripping off 10 straight regular season wins, putting up 30+ points in his last 8. He's completely unfazed. He's also incredibly humble and doesn't seem to be letting any of this success get to his head.

You saw more of that in Clem's blog with how he still has a roommate and drives a Toyota Sequoia.

At some point he'll lose, I think? I mean that's just part of the game. Their schedule does not get easy from here, starting next week in Cleveland against that top tier defense. He'll be tested, but from what we've seen over now this fairly large sample size he'll handle it and get them comfortably in position for another deep run in January. If that roster stays healthy, and in football that's always a big if, there's no one that can stop them. Brock Purdy is a big reason for that and it's time people just respect how awesome he is.
