Screw It, We As A Country Should Just Let Shaq Become The Next President

Listen I think we can all agree that people who obsess over politics are the absolute worst. Just a gigantic pile of suck from everyone involved. While I suppose you could say the same thing about people who obsess about sports, I would personally disagree because sports rule and politics stink out loud.

As someone who doesn't really give a shit about any of that stuff but does have to live in this country, I feel like this is a great common ground for all sides. Who is going to be the President in 2024? No clue, but we should probably just let Shaq do it. I mean how much worse can things get? Plus, everyone loves Shaq. I'd go so far as to suggest it's impossible not to. He's hilarious

Not only does he seem like a great overall human when he's not on camera, I feel like Shaq is one of those few celebrities that has a universal approval rating. In fact, I'm going to take this a step further. Not only should we just let Shaq be President, but we should also let him build out his cabinet with the entire Inside The NBA crew. I trust those guys to run our country way more than anyone who currently does or any other politician we hear may want the job come next year.

I guess what I'm suggesting is to let these guys run the country and then still fire up their studio show for Thursday nights during the NBA season. This idea only works as long as that show gets to continue because it's the greatest thing on television and one of the main reasons I'm excited the NBA season is back.

There's also the intimidation factor. Who the hell is going to decide to mess with the US knowing that Shaq is on the other end of the equation? You add that to the fact that everyone around the world loves Shaq, and I feel like this is pretty much a no brainer. Don't even have an election in 2024, just ask Shaq if he was serious, and even if he wasn't, maybe we bully him into accepting the job anyway.

I know this sounds crazy, but look at who has been our President recently. Even as a guy who knows jack shit about politics, I think he could do it, and life under Shaq's rule does sound pretty awesome.
