Marc-Andre Fleury Is Too Damn Old To Be Dealing With This Connor Bedard Shit
You think Marc-Andre Fleury gives a shit that a new generational talent just enter the league? Fat chance.
This man has been dealing with generational talents for longer than Connor Bedard has been alive. He was also a 1st overall draft pick. He is a 3x Stanley Cup Champion, and a former Vezina Trophy winner. Flower has neither the time nor patience for some new teenager to come into the league and try to make a mockery out of goalies everywhere.
So if Connor Bedard thinks he's just going to waltz in on Flower in the shootout and make him look silly, he's sorely mistaken. Because the tables just turned on Bedard quicker than his release. One moment he thinks he's about to dangle the shit out of a 3x champ, the next moment he's getting his first "welcome to the show" moment by a legend.
But if it makes Bedard feel any better, he wasn't the only 1st overall pick to get launched by Fleury in the shootout last night.
Marc-Andre Fleury is like your grandpa who just does and says whatever the hell he wants because he's so old that nobody is going to stop him. He knows this is probably his last year suiting up, might as well clown some guys out there while he still can.
