Reports Are That The Bears Are Actively Trying To Trade Chase Claypool Less Than A Year After Acquiring Him

What an absolute disaster. Three strikes and you're out apparently. He had the sideline incidents last year. He had to apologize to the entire Bears organization for straight up not trying after the first game. Then his media hit was now the final straw. The Bears scratched him and were better for it. I loved Claypool at ND. I liked the idea of getting Fields a weapon. It made sense on paper from where I am sitting, but this is a BIG black mark on the Poles resume because giving up what ended up being the 32nd pick in the draft for a guy you're liking going to just cut for nothing is a complete failure when you're trying to build a team.

What is even more infuriating is Eberflus not knowing what to say about anything

Either Eberflus doesn't know what is happening or he's lying about what went down with Claypool. It's crazy. Set a standard of behavior. If the guy is being a fucking asshole, just say it. This makes Eberflus look weak and stupid. It is pretty obvious after going 3-18 through 21 games and blowing the biggest lead in franchise history...at home...against a team that is horrible...that Eberflus isn't the guy. Which means Poles got it wrong. You could argue that he's gotten nearly everything wrong. Which means...you gotta fire everyone. Start over. Let Warren find his guys. Give a real football guy complete control. It's over for this group. You can't have let this opportunity slip through your hands with the guy who put you in this position
