Penn State Is Practicing Without Music To Prepare For How Pathetic Northwestern's Crowd Will Be On Saturday

Now that's just mean. Obviously James Franklin isn't wrong, but he didn't have to come right out and say it. Who knows, maybe he has just caused an uprising within the dozens of Northwestern fans and they're all going to show up now with vuvuzelas.

You can currently get a ticket to see No. 6 Penn State at Northwestern this weekend for $18 on Gametime, which I have to imagine is the lowest you'd be able to find a Top 10 team playing a conference game all season. Maybe Florida State going to Boston College was in that range, but there aren't too many fanbases in the country that won't at least drive the prices up for opposing fans even if they won't go themselves.

This is the right play to prepare your team for this environment, though. They don't make Power Five football atmospheres any duller than an 11 a.m. kick in Evanston, so you better be ready to supply your own juice to avoid being lulled to sleep. The more I think about it, it's almost an eephus pitch-like advantage.

Franklin has called out the Wildcat faithful before a prime upset opportunity, though. Will they respond and make Ryan Field a hostile atmosphere for a Nittany Lions team possibly looking ahead?!

(No.)
