There's A New Group That Wants To Be Recognized In Germany: 1000+ People Who Identify As Dogs Hold Rally In Berlin
A pack of dog-identifying humans has prompted calls for “animal control” after footage of their Berlin meet-up went viral.
An estimated 1,000 people who prefer to be recognized as not humans, but canines, organized a gathering at the Berlin Potsamer Platz railroad station in Germany, communicating only by howling or barking at one another.
“When I wear my costume I feel I’m no longer human,” Ueda, 32, previously told the UK Times. “I’m free of human relationships. All kinds of troubles, related to work and other things — I can forget about them.”
But animal-like behavior has been fetishized as a BDSM kink known as “puppy play,” where participants, usually men, are equipped with muzzles, collars or leashes and behave like a dog.
I've always been against euthanizing dogs. Breaks my heart that there are shelters that kill strays. It's why I rescued my dog, George. Having said that...send these people to a farm in the country. You can't even say that in Germany because they're all sensitive about mass killing groups of people or whatever. I read the word "canine beings" and I was filled with rage. When our parents told us we could be anything we wanted when they grew up they didn't mean the family dog. That's a chill ass fucking life. When you're a kid you're basically treated like a dog. You live for free. You are given food and toys and your only responsibility to play. You're also expected to be a fucking idiot. No matter what you do wrong you're forgiven largely because you're cute. The dog never graduates from that existence. That's probably what these lunatics are longing for...a life where you're just taken care of forever. So maybe that's what we should do for them...lock them up like Percy in the Green Mile. Put them in an institution like a shelter and if humans want to adopt them they can. If not, they're just an orphan ward of the state. See how they like that. You want to be treated like a dog, you can do it in a padded room.
