That Was Quick: Cam Akers Has Reportedly Been Deactivated And Might Be On The Trading Block

Let's all take a moment and say a prayer to the people that talked themselves into drafting Cam Akers on their fantasy team this year. Okay, now let's all laugh at them and send them mean spirited text messages while also tipping our cap to the people that blew their FAAB load on Kyren Williams after a decent Week 1 performance.

I don't know the exact specifics of the work relationship between Sean McVay and Cam Akers. But I imagine it's somewhere around the one Portnoy has with Smitty. Actually that's a bit strong considering we've had multiple summers worth of Cam Akers hype along with his nice run to end last season. It's probably closer to the relationship that Ronnie and Sammi Sweetheart had together back in the day. Some dizzying highs followed by rock bottom lows followed by the inevitable makeup that will end in a breakup.

I didn't think I'd be comparing the Rams running back situation to a show that starred The Situation. At least not in Week 2. But here we are. I can't wait to hear the details of all this in the inevitable Sean McVay biography and apparently neither can Cam Akers.
