We're Up +3.5 Units This Week With Our Gambling Picks

RECORD

69-113-2 (-0.6 units)

I said yesterday that we were back. While the plays I put out yesterday definitely didn't do me any favors, I'm still on the "We're Back" train. We had a 1-2 day. Juan Soto did not go deep against the Philadelphia Phillies, and the Miami Marlins absolutely demolished the Dodgers. Going forward, I think I'm done putting any faith in Lance Lynn. I was one of the people who believed in his potential resurgence with the Dodgers. I was sadly mistaken. Sometimes, you have to make a deal with the devil, and that's what I did yesterday with the Tampa Bay Rays. I've been outspoken in my belief that Tyler Glasnow is an overrated pitcher. I still do believe that, but he saved my ass yesterday. My issue with him has always been durability. His stuff is fantastic. It seems like he's putting it all together. Good for him. He saved my ass. Not much else to say. We're getting ever so closer to the finish line. It's a thin board, but there are still some good plays. Let's take a look at today's picks.

Marlins ML (+110) against the Dodgers

Yesterday, I bet the Dodgers to cover as road favorites. Today, I'm switching it up. The Dodgers are obviously a fantastic team with an offense that features two future Hall of Famers. But I have serious concerns about their pitching staff right now, and they're facing a pitcher in Braxton Garrett, who has quietly been sensational in the second half of the season. Over his last seven starts, he's put up an ERA of 2.70. The Marlins are also a phenomenal 19-8 in games he's pitched this season. Ryan Pepiot will be tossing the ball for the Dodgers. I'm not sure if they plan on making this a bullpen day or not. Pepiot has been solid in a limited sample size, but he's only making his ninth Major League start. Even with their struggles, the Marlins are still pretty damn close to a playoff spot. They need this game. I like them as home underdogs.

Isaac Paredes to homer (+550) against the Mariners

It gets overlooked just how good Isaac Paredes has been since being acquired by the Tampa Bay Rays. I've written before about how lopsided that trade is. Austin Meadows has barely played for Detroit, and Paredes has turned into an absolute stud. He's very quietly put up back-to-back sensational campaigns for Tampa Bay. Tonight is a big game for both of these teams. The Mariners are trying to keep pace with the Houston Astros atop the American League West, and the Rays are doing the best they can to try to catch up to the Baltimore Orioles in the American League East. Luis Castillo is pitching for Seattle. I've sung his praises before. I think he's sensational. But considering how good Paredes' numbers have been at Tropicana Field, to get him at +550 for a home run prop is pretty good. He's only seen Luis Castillo five times, but he's collected two hits, including a home run. He went deep for Tampa Bay yesterday. I'd love to see him do it again today.
