Game Notes Countdown To The NHL - #13 Boston Bruins
NHL Team: Boston Bruins
Conference: Eastern
Division: Atlantic
2022-23 Recap: The Bruins set an NHL record for most wins and points in a season with 65 wins and 135 points beating the previous record previously held by the 2018-19 Tampa Bay Lightning. Jim Montgomery brought home the Jack Adams and Linus Ullmark won the Vezina but the Bs lost in the first round blowing a 3-1 lead to the Panthers. The President's Trophy curse is real.
Biggest Losses: Patrice Bergeron - The face of the franchise for so many years and one of the best people to ever grace the NHL. A true two-way HOF center is an impossible player to replace. Losing David Krejci at the same time is just devastating to the Bs forward group.
Biggest Addition: Milan Lucic - Looooooch is back in Bean Town. A leader who knows the franchise's inner workings and will add toughness to a lineup with plenty of talent. He has always been the guy you want to walk off the bus first or skate the red line during warm-ups. Possibly a Big Deal Brew athlete this season as well.
2023-24 Outlook: Obviously the center position is a major question mark, but I don't have any doubt that Monty will find a way to get this group back into the playoffs to celebrate their 100th season.
Player To Watch: Pavel Zacha - He will most likely play on a line with Pasta and be his delivery man. If he can step up and have a season that most think he is capable of the Bruins will make the playoffs.
2023-2024 Season Bet: $EBR Rule #2 - Bruins day games at TD Garden always hammer the home team!!!
