NHL Team:  Minnesota Wild

Conference: Western

Division: Central

2022-23 Recap: A103-point season had them finish in 3rd in the Division. Filip Gustavsson had a breakout season and it looks like the Wild finally found their goalie of the future.

Biggest Loss: Ryan ReavesThe Wild turned around their season once they made the deal for Reaves and his personality around the locker room will be missed. No matter how hard people try to take fighting out of the league Reeves shows there is still a place for the way he plays the game. The whole league saw this punch last summer and knew not to go near Kaprizov last season.

Biggest Addition: Pat MaroonSay what you want about his silky smooth skating style but the guy wins. He brings a below-the-dots and front-of-the-net presence that is rare. He is one of the great locker room guys in the league and is a leader the players will follow. Will he be part of the no tarps crew in Minny?

2023-24 OUTLOOK: I like the Wild to make the playoffs as a Wild Card team, but can't see them getting past the 1st round.

Player To Watch: Marco Rossi - 53 points in 63 games in the AHL is a good start to any career. Rossi is a stud and has scored at any level he has played.  The Austrian is a dark horse for the Calder.  If he can play with the big line, he really has a chance to put up some great numbers.

2023-2024 SEASON BET: Team Total Over 96.5 -115
