Deion Sanders Says TCU Offensive Coordinator Kendal Briles Disrespected His Son Shedeur At A Camp As A Recruit, So He Threw For 510 Yards And 4 Touchdowns Against Briles On Saturday
The Sanders family has apparently been keeping every receipt imaginable for the last several years and is ready to bring them out now.
Deion Sanders said on Monday that his son Shedeur's 510-yard, four touchdown performance against TCU was fueled in part by Horned Frogs offensive coordinator Kendal Briles not having anything to do with him at a camp when he was a recruit. Revenge is a dish best served cold, as they say.
But Briles is in his first year at TCU. Where was he coaching several years ago when this incident would have occurred?
Ohhhhhh boy. Now I see why that became personal for the Sanders family.
I'm sure Shedeur would have played well on Saturday regardless of any pent-up animosity he had towards Briles, but TCU's defensive coaches couldn't have been thrilled to hear this story. Briles wasn't even the guy who had to game plan against Sanders. All he could do was sit there and watch him go off.
Sanders and Travis Hunter are going to be the most fun duo to watch in college football this season. That offense could put up some gaudy numbers.
