We're Having A Rock Solid Week With Our Gambling Picks

RECORD

65-102-2 (+2.3 units)

Yesterday featured a very thin board, but we went 1–1. The Marlins took care of business on the run line against the Washington nationals. As expected, Braxton Garrett put together a fine outing. I had the Braves covering on the road against the Los Angeles Dodgers. They failed to do that. They did end up winning the game. They just didn't cover. It was one of those ball games that was so entertaining that I wasn't even bothered by the fact that I wasn't able to win my bet. We're having a pretty solid week this week. We haven't hit with any home run props, but the games that we've played have been good to us. Football season is about to be in full swing, but we're going finish the regular season strong betting on baseball. Let's take a look at today's picks.

Astros -1.5 (+125) against the Yankees

Astros at plus money on the run line against the Yankees with Verlander on the mound? I feel like there's something I'm missing here. I know the Yankees just played a pretty good series against my Tigers in which they took three out of four, but this feels like a bargain. Verlander's been very good since being acquired by Houston. Carlos Rodon is going for the Yankees. We know how good he can be when healthy, but he's been remarkably inconsistent when pitched this year for New York. Minute Maid Park has been a house of horrors for the New York Yankees since 2017. Verlander has been a huge reason for that. Houston's been playing some great baseball over the last week. I think they roll tonight.

Rangers -1.5 (+140) against the Twins

These two teams recently played each other at target field. It did not go well for the Rangers. They've been a mess over the last several weeks and have fallen out of first place in the American League West. One of the few bright spots for them has been Max Scherzer. Mad Max has been everything Texas hoped since they acquired him from the Mets. I think the Rangers' value will be really good going forward. They've been sliding quite a bit, but I know they're still a really good baseball team. The Twins are in first place, but trust them as far as I can throw him. These were the starts that Max Scherzer was made for. Give me Texas.

Bryce Harper to homer (+450) against the Brewers

Again, I'm stunned by the value here. Multiple blogs have been written about it on this site recently, but Bryce Harper is on fire right now. He's finally fully healthy after coming back from Tommy John surgery in record time and was clubbing the baseball in the month of August. I expect that to carry over into September. A big reason for that is that his numbers against Freddy Peralta are fantastic. He's only had ten plate appearances but has three hits, including two home runs. That's good enough for an OPS of 1.511. I love my home run props, and to be able to take a flyer out on Harper a +450 feels like one hell of a move.
