#BurnerGate: Former Cardinals HC Steve Wilks Said He Was Forced To Communicate With GM Steve Keim On A Burner Phone While Keim Was Suspended From The NFL

[Source] - Former Arizona Cardinals head coach Steve Wilks testified that a team executive gave him a burner phone to communicate with former general manager Steve Keim under orders from Keim and team owner Michael Bidwill during Keim's suspension, according to a deposition transcript obtained by ESPN.

Bidwill and other team executives communicated with Keim throughout his suspension for drunk driving, including while the Cardinals negotiated a three-year, $39 million contract extension with running back David Johnson, Wilks said. The NFL said at the time it would not impose additional punishment against Keim after the team suspended him.

"It was a directive from Keim as well as Bidwill," Wilks said in the deposition. "They both knew."

When the hell will people learn burner phones, burner accounts, burner anything doesn't work? You always get caught. This isn't the good old days where you could hit *67 and protect your identity. Not to mention, look how (allegedly) shitty these burner phones were

Couldn't use an alias? Watch a movie or shitty network television show for me one time, Cardinals. Then again can we be surprised? This is the Arizona Cardinals. They fucking stink as a franchise. They are one of the most worthless franchises not just in the NFL but in all of sports. They are just ... there. They never win, they never make the right picks, they are basically just the franchise that had Larry Fitzgerald. 

I just can't get over how bad the alleged burner phone is. First off, you need a flip phone. You can't have a smart phone for a burner phone and be asked to update storage and data. You need a phone that has snake on it. Then you gotta put in code names. Come up with something cool, you can't just go by an initial. Not when you're ready to negotiate a deal for running back David Johnson. 

Side note - that's the most Cardinals thing ever. Using a burner phone to negotiate a running back's deal. That's modern NFL baby. 

All I know is I need the Cardinals to lose a draft pick over this strictly for the humor over it. A shitty GM who demanded burner phone use. That's how you do it. Wonder if Keim has an army that also uses burners? That seems to be a thing.
