I LOVE That The Bears Lead The League In Hometown Guys

I don't know if the Bears actually lead the league in hometown players. Probably not. If someone wants to fact check me and find out a team from Florida, Texas, or California has more local boys then go right ahead. I do think that this seems to be a record for the Bears have Chicago-area kids. I don't know anything about Dan Feeney. Looked like a smart pickup because he's played a bunch of games in the NFL and the Bears need help on the interior due to injuries. Beyond that though, it's a depth interior lineman. Who gives fuck? You tell me it's a depth interior lineman from Sandburg HS and I suddenly care a LOT. 

That makes 6 guys who theoretically grew up being just as miserable as a Bears fan as we did. Guys that care about the City, the fans, the tradition, the team. In theory. Probably a meatball thing to take, but if you're building a culture here I think it can't help that you have a collection of dudes who have the Bears in their DNA. Big time meatball take, but on a 3rd and 1 against Green Bay I like the idea that the Bears can run behind Kmet, Tonyan, and Feeney. Makes it easier to root for guys like that. 

The NFL can't get here soon enough. I overheard that bozo Nicky Smokes saying that the Packers were a much better team than the Bears yesterday. Got me fired up. I can't wait for week 1.
