The Orioles-Rockies Game Was Delayed Because A Swarm Of Bees Took Over The Outfield

Flashbacks to Joba in Cleveland and the midges! We had a 5 minute "bee delay" in Baltimore today as a swarm of honeybees took over the outfield in the bottom of the 1st. Rockies left fielder Nolan Jones basically sprinted in from the outfield during the inning and no one knew what was going on. Turns out the swarm of bees had found him and he dipped the hell out of there like anybody with a brain would.

No harm though, everyone was fine and the bees are now just chilling out there watching the game from the bullpen like they're one of the relievers. Of course this is one day after the Orioles put their closer on the 15 day IL after his elbow injury as their new closer was posted up right next to a bees nest. Guess he really isn't scared of anything.

Strange start to the game, never thought we'd see a swarm of bees delay the game here in Baltimore but I guess that is what we're doing now.
