Love Everything About The Big 12 Commissioner Showing Up To Texas Tech And Telling Them To 'Take Care Of Business' Against Texas In Football

The only people that should have a problem with this are Texas fans. Anyone else? Come on. Texas is leaving the Big 12. They made the decision to go to the SEC. Why would the Big 12 commissioner want them to have a big year? He'd much rather have someone who is staying in the Big 12 win the conference and make the playoff this year. That's pretty logical if you ask me.

Now, it's worth noting he was at Texas Tech when he said this. That's playing toward the crowd, but he had to know someone would have it on video. It's 2023, everything is on video at these things. What I do find funny is somehow Oklahoma skating by here. I know Texas Tech/Texas is a rival. But now you gotta show up to Oklahoma State and say the same thing. Plus, Oklahoma is the better program lately. Can't let them off the hook.

Really this is just me being anti-conference realignment now. I get the money and this is a business. I get that games will be awesome. But I miss the old days. I miss the days of the real Big East, the 9-team ACC, the real Big 12, when numbers in conference names actually were logical. So if the Big 12 commissioner, who hilariously just raided the Pac-12, is going to say for Texas Tech to take care of business, fuck it. I love the move.
