Football Guy Of The Week ... High School Football Coach Asks His Player "Billy, You Alive?" After A Big Hit

We were just talking on Picks Central how the old highlight films for the NFL were some of the most violent things on the planet. 

We also talked about how there was literally a segment on Monday Night Countdown called Jacked Up ... 

I'm not a guy who wants concussions, but there is something about big hits to get excited about. As well as bringing it back to embracing the toughness in football instead of a touch tackle type vibe. 

Which brings us to this HS coach who if I had to guess has been there for 30 years. Just a football lifer. Lives and breathes pigskin. Probably knows his winning percentage like the back of his hand. Tells stories about "back in his day", has metaphors up the wazzu, and can rattle off an inspirational speech at the drop of a dime. A big hit like this happens in practice … this guy gets goosebumps he lives for it. The line of "Billy …you alive?" and the big WHOOOOOO is so perfect from a football coach you have to love it. I cracked up the minute I saw it remembering all the guys I played for who remind me of this guy. Just an all time football guy. 

I know it's a Pardon My Take thing … but please accept my nomination for this guy as Football Guy Of The Week and we need more guys like this. Just a terrific character.
