Was just on a run, threw my phone on DND, went for a jog, and open my phone to this STUNNER of a news drop. Nobody ON EARTH saw this coming. Nobody. Yes, the firings were well warranted but Jerry has always been loyal to a fault. Not today. I cannot believe I'm saying this, but good on Jerry Reinsdorf...

Chris Getz CANNOT be a candidate. Jerry needs to outsource a search to find a president of baseball ops who has the autonomy to operate freely from his command. There are 30 of those jobs on earth and only one open in Chicago, a major market, so names a plenty will be afloat. Hopefully.
