Watch: Wild Video Of Two Fighter Pilots Ejecting Over A Crowd At A Michigan Air Show
Source - A fighter jet crash landed in Michigan this weekend -- and while the aircraft going down is jarring itself, what's even crazier ... the 2 pilots were able to escape right in the nick of time!
The incident went down Sunday in Ypsilanti near the Willow Run Airport, where the Thunder Over Michigan airshow was being held ... and MiG-23s were doing their thing up in the sky, entertaining people down below.
Toward the end of the event, one of the fighter jets started to clearly lose control as it torpedoed toward the ground ... and it became evident that it was going down.
The Video:
Reports say the two pilots have since been recovered and are expected to be okay. It's unclear where exactly the jet ended up landing, or if there were any injuries or fatalities as a result.
I'm going to say something and I hope it doesn't come off as too harsh...I would've rather died in that crash. The pilots are okay, thank god, but the level of embarrassment they must be experiencing would simply be too much for me to bear. Think about it...that airshow is their DAY. They practice all year long, master their routine, tell all their friends and family to come out...and for what? To literally crash in open air? (I don't know if that's a saying but it sounds right.) For the record, they don't know what caused the crash but still, having to EJECT in the middle of an airshow is more traumatizing than the whiplash they both experienced.
Here's a photo of the planes and where they went down...
And another angle of the ejection…
Again, the cause of the crash is still under investigation, but who cares. Everyone is okay which is all that matters. The only thing that's hurt are those guys' egos. Thought and prayers to everyone involved. That's it for this one. Thanks for reading.
