THE THIRD TWISTER IN UFC HISTORY JUST HAPPENED AT THE APEX

It seems it's always the under-the-radar UFC cards that deliver the wildest results, and Da'Mon "The Monster" Blackshear proved that true tonight as he just pulled off the third Twister in UFC history (joining The Korean Zombie and Bryce Mitchell in that exclusive club) against Jose Johnson to get this card rolling! It only took him a few minutes into the first round, too!

The Twister is obviously one of the coolest submissions you could pull off in MMA, not only due to its rarity and awesome name - but because it takes a second to lock in, allowing your opponent to realize they're about to be wrung out like a wet rag on a global scale. It's almost like being suffocated by a snake in that you'll realize you're fucked WAY before you're actually fucked, and you just gotta lay there and die. Plus, it puts the person applying it in position to whisper some threats (or sweet nothings) into the loser's ear....

This marks the second finish win in a row for Blackshear after kicking off his UFC career 0-1-1, and it definitely feels like he's coming into his own and finding his groove now, so I'm really excited to see more from him.
