August Dog Of The Month - Stella Katz

We used to do things the right way around here. Guess that ass. Student sex teacher grades. Actual blogs about actual sports. And we used to really big up man's best friends- Canis lupus familiarise. AKA Dogs.

Big Cat ran with it back in our fledgling Chicago days with Neil.

Then Carl revived it.

Somewhere along the way the ball got dropped, like most things around here, and our poor canine buddies fell through the cracks.

Well, not anymore bitches.

That ends today. Dogs deserve better and I intend to give it to them. So consider this my official announcement that we're doing a dog of the month blog at the end of every month going forward. 

We're kicking it off with none other than MVP Stella, faithful accomplice of Big Cat for all these years. One of the best pups in the game and one I am ecstatic can now once again call Chicago her home.

Stella has done wonders since being rescued by Dan- including protecting and helping raise multiple Katz children, co-launching her own Coffee company, 

and most recently, helping to raise $15,000 bucks for her fellow dog friends up for adoption at PAWS Chicago. 

Incredible work Stella. You are loved, good girl!

There are dog adoption centers in almost every town and city across the country. Don't buy from breeders and puppy mills. Never ever buy from a pet store. Rescue a dog and make a best friend for life.  If you're in Chicago there's no place better to support than PAWS

p.s. - a very close runner up dog of the month this month was folk-singer Noah Kahan's pup Penny who continues to run on stage during other artists' performances at festivals. Penny is awesome.
