WATCH: The Pursuit Of A Stolen Tractor Could Only End At Waffle House

FOX 5 — A Georgia man was arrested for leading police on a slow-speed chase through three cities, crashing several times along the way, including the Waffle House, where it all ended. It didn’t happen in a rural part of the state, but in the heart of metro Atlanta.

Hapeville Police say officers were called out just after 9 a.m. Thursday to Virginia Avenue in front of the Hilton Atlanta Airport hotel to assist College Park Police in a pursuit. When officers arrived, they found a John Deere 5100 tractor pulling a green John Deere Batwing lawn mower driving down the road.

The 20-mph chase ended up turning onto Bobby Brown Parkway and then a right on Norman Berry Drive, before getting out of the heavy traffic and entering the McDonald’s parking lot. Skipping the drive thru, the tractor ended up next door at the Waffle House.

Was there ever any doubt that the police pursuit of a stolen tractor would come to a conclusion in a Waffle House parking lot? Even the immediate surrounding areas of the glowing yellow signs have a way of attracting this type of tomfoolery and shenanigans — during the day, no less.

Shoutout to the cop who boarded that Deere like a fucking Navy SEAL hopping on a rogue submarine to end this thing. He was done being embarrassed by a tractor and was not letting this chase go another minute.

There's just nothing like a trip to the redneck hibachi. You might see a fight between an employee and a customer or the cops take down a stolen tractor, but no matter what happens, you're going to leave satisfied after an outstanding All-Star Special and quite likely with a good story on what happened at the WaHo that day.

It's a special place that can't be replicated.
